So here’s the deal, I have troubleshot this issue with VMWare and they currently have passed the issue up to the Dev team.
We have a VDP VM that is failing the IP/DNS resolution portion of the configuration. We have
The 1 TB VDP OVA
vCenter 5.1 running on W2k8R2
BIND running on SLES 11
I have gone through troubleshooting and can resolve everything asked for in this doc:
from the VDP, the vCenter, and the BIND server.
One other thing to point out if it matters. The Windows running the vCenter is in a workgroup and not a domain. It has the append dns queries to the <our_domain>.com entry set up and the BIND server set up in DNS.
