We had an image accidentally upgrade to 1803. We were unaware when the image was handed to us and attempted to build a new linked clone pool with a persistent disk and it failed to provision. The VMs comes up with the date/time set without the timezone (UTC 0) and eventually fail to provision with error "View Composer agent initialization state error (22): Failed to mount persistent disk. Please check the parent VM if an existing disk is using the same drive letter. (waited 0 seconds)". We recreated the pool without a persistent disk and the linked clones provisioned successfully.

 

I understand that 1803 is currently listed as a supported for 7.5 and not supported for 7.4 (Supported versions of Windows 10 on Horizon Agent Including All VDI Clones (Full Clones, Instant Clones, and Linked Clones on Horizon 7) (2149393).

Hi Hocshop,

 

The ADMX templates should be copied to the PolicyDefinitions folder on your SYSVOL share, not the one in the Windows folder. SYSVOL is replicated across DCs.

Actually the answer is pretty easy, because this topology is not supported, especially disreagrding the versions.

As far as i know there has been no change in the supported posibilities

Nevertheless the Connection between the both psc does work sometimes.

Hello!

 

for a project, I need to set up a horizon farm with a dual authentication system.

for that I set up a system with freeradius and google-authenticator.

 

not liking the system where you have to specify the password followed by the google code I wanted to make some changes.

I managed to make the first request google code and the second the user password.

but for the first step I have an error like this:

but I manage to move on to the next step and if I type bad code it blocks me as it is supposed to do.

 

this type of error occurred when playing with the file "/etc/pam.d/radiusd", here are the different configurations made on it:

#auth    required     pam_google_authenticator.so     forward_pass

#auth       include     password-auth

#account    required    pam_nologin.so

#account    include     password-auth

#password   include     password-auth

#session    include     password-auth

I am trying to use this kb as a guide to create a 200G raw vmdk.

 

This is the command that is not succeeding:

/Applications/VMware\ Fusion.app/Contents/Library/vmware-rawdiskCreator print /dev/disk11

 

The error message is

Unable to open "/dev/disk11": 16

 

diskutil list confirms this is what I want:

/dev/disk11 (virtual):

   #:                       TYPE NAME                    SIZE       IDENTIFIER

   0:                  Apple_HFS VM Data                +958.8 GB   disk11

 

What is error 16, and why am I getting it?

 

What can/should I do to resolve it?

ok i found it was an option on admin horizon to uncheck

 

 

 

I still leave for those who want configuration pam.d to have only google-authenticator code in the first place and not the default option of one then the other.

Many Thanks for your entry. I had the same problem and it was the same fact, the Shared VMs running in the same folder as the VMs under "My Computer".

yeah that's what I thought but someone suggest I try, then the disk upgrade failed with a vib error and then I am not sure I will be able to migrate the virtual server for esxi host version 5.5 to an upgrade esxi host at version 6 without turning them off because EVC mode is not enabled on one of the clusters. My other cluster has it enabled so I am hoping that I will be able to upgrade a one of my hosts to esxi 6.5 move the machine to it without turning them off and then upgrade the other esxi host from 5.5 to 6.5

esxcli network ip set --ipv6-enabled=false

 

and it worked a treat

Please bring back the console with all functionality.  At least until you can fix the bugs with the web administration and Flash and get it to load faster, fix the not able to type bug, and generally make it a usable product.  Or is this still in beta?

It sounds like you´re using Distribution groups in AD instead of Security groups. You need to be using SECURITY groups for this.

I was able to get a terminal session into the Skyline appliance and I did a grep on the /var/log/skyline/collector.log and the only reference to the domain is the account used to authenticate into the vCenters.

 

I do not see the failed login attempt in the log.

Hello,

 

I have installed VMWare Fusion into my MacOS High Sierra 10.13. It's created two virtual network Adapter called vmnet1 and vmnet8. But I can't find how to share my MacOS internet connection (from Wi-Fi) through those adapter with my VMWare guest machine. Under Internet Sharing Menu in System Preferences, there is no option for vmnet1 or vmnet8. My Wi-Fi adapter shows as en0 with 'ifconfig' command. So I actually want to share Internet connection of en0 inteface (wi-fi) with vmnet1 or vmnet8 interface.
